To keep in good standing with the Guild of Obnoxious Grandparents, I’ve mentioned many times that we have three grandchildren. Ashlyn is our youngest granddaughter. As the youngest, she’s still trying to find her direction in life and I’m never really sure where her talents are going to lead her. That might be a tad confusing for her on occasion, but for everyone else around it’s pure and unrelenting entertainment
Sometimes, I think that she’s destined for a career in science, maybe as a marine biologist.
On the other hand, her mother has a degree in history, maybe she’ll be an historian.
Then again, her father is skilled in communications. Her talents may lay in linguistics.
She has no fear about virtually anything, so we can’t rule out a career in space either.
She also has a definite affinity for growing things, so maybe agronomy is the direction she’ll head.
Of course, at an early age she showed her artistic talents. The Washington Ballet has been courting her for months.
For her age, she has a remarkable interest in reading food labels. I can see her being a nutritionist.
But, I don’t know if she’d enjoy being inside all the time. She loves to be in the field to explore. She might like geology!
In the end, what she does in life is truly her decision. We’re content just to call her our little princess.
So, that’s it for the grandchildren. I’d say that I won’t subject you to any more of my obnoxious bragging, but I can’t promise that. The thing about grandchildren is that they keep coming up with new ways to impress grandparents. When they do, it’s almost impossible for us to keep from sharing it with whole world. I’ll try to contain myself, but no promises.
See ya
She also likes to collect rocks and sticks so a geologist or archeologist it is.
